This beautifully considered extension project in Painswick demonstrates how carefully selected doors can elevate both the character and performance of a Cotswold property.

The client approached Charlton Kings Interiors during the design phase of their extension, seeking door solutions that would complement a classic, elegant interior while delivering modern thermal performance. Our role was to advise on the most suitable combination of steel and aluminium systems to achieve a seamless, timeless result.
Single steel doors with refined glazing bars were introduced internally, adding architectural interest and subtle definition between spaces without interrupting the flow of light. For the extension itself, thermally broken Cortizo aluminium sliding doors were specified, providing slim profiles, excellent insulation values, and uninterrupted views to the garden.

The result is a space flooded with natural light, where traditional proportions and contemporary performance work in harmony. The sliding doors create a strong visual connection between inside and out, while maintaining the clean lines and understated elegance expected in high-quality Cotswold homes.
